Q: What's up with the name?
A: On my first day, Matt Grasso said, “OK Devon, time to come up with big boy radio name.” Always being one to 'shake what my momma gave me', I stuck to the classics.
Q: Are you the new guy?
A: I started on the BUZZ night show in August 2011. So yes... in the sense that a 1994 Geo Tracker some dude picked off the scrapheap is “new to him”, I'm the new guy.
Q: If you're from Massachusetts, where's the accent?
A: I was raised by Anabaptist settlers who sheltered me from the evils of soft Rs and hard F-bombs.
Q: Why don't you play my requests?
A: I do my best to get to all the requests on a given night. There's no real rhyme or reason to what gets played and what doesn't. It's gotta be something we have, something that rips, and something that hasn't been played within a few hours. Survival of the fittest, supply and demand, and all that.
Q: You sound so handsome?
A: While this is frequently stated, it is not really a question.
Q: Can I be on your show?
A: My show is not currently accepting applicants to be “on it”.
Q: Where did you find the ___ sound effect?
A: I've watched a lot of bad movies and discontinued TV shows and I also have heard from a lot of entertaining callers. You folks are the best!
Q: If Chris Cornell went solo and Audioslave and Soundgarden broke up, except they never officially did because Rage did a bunch of reunion shows with Zach, although they totally were broken up – well, that's what they said at least – then, Soundgarden got back together with Chris again, even though Chris said they never would, but also never said they were done… isn't it highly conceivable that none of this ever happened and Audioslave is a total figment of our imaginations?
A: ...And Zach is really Chris. I've been saying this for years.
