Kelela has announced a new album, New Avatar, set for release July 10, 2026, through Warp Records. The announcement arrived alongside a new single, linknb, giving listeners the first full look at the next chapter in her sound.
With the new release, Kelela continues moving through the space between R&B, electronic music, and alternative textures. New Avatar is described as a wide-ranging project that brings in elements of shoegaze, grunge, and guitar-driven production while keeping her voice at the center.
The album will also feature collaborations with PinkPantheress, A. K. Paul, and Fousheé. That mix points to a record built around contrast: soft vocals, layered production, and a sound that moves beyond one clear genre.
New Avatar follows Raven, Kelela’s 2023 album, and continues the creative direction she introduced with the earlier single idea 1. The new single linknb also comes with a music video, adding a visual start to the album rollout.
